Finally done with this... 11 years after Audi stopped selling the car.
These are slides from the video that covers switch locations and conditions of operation:
Field 2, first 3 bits are virtual switches based on data from the G356 sensor shows in Field 4.
For cars in the North American Region, most likely will have both F170 and F172 switches wired up in series.
Think of the F202 as more of a "top out of storage compartment" switch... this photo clearly shows the top is not fully closed.
If this bit isn't 1, then the top can't operate. It lets the module know that there is room for the top to be stored. Remove crap from trunk area or damage will occur!
