VW/Audi Independent shop with a customer's 2012 Jetta TDI CJAA. We have made some emissions repairs and are hung up on the last one. P1A58 NOx Regeneration Required. The DPF light goes on and off while driving, a hard code of P1A58 is present and will not clear, even after several attempts to perform regeneration using both VCDS, and Autel Elite.
On VCDS, after security access it populates a window saying you change new value to "1" and click Save. The Save & Test buttons are grayed out. I have to assume conditions are not met for this long adaptation to be performed?
The long story is this vehicle had a bad turbo temperature sensor (G235) and was driven long enough to clog the DPF. I replaced the DPF, reset ash content as instructed when replacing the DPF with new assembly, and this code is now present. Any dealership techs with definitions about this code, or code setting criteria is what I'm after. I need to figure out why the car is not accepting regen attempts.
Lastly, the Autel performed this regen several times stating at the end of the test that it was "Successful", yet the code will not clear and the Hex value won't change on MVB 104. I can't even get the regen to start on VCDS.
