Could it be because the procedure described in that video is only applicable to petrol engines? ;)

Jack many thanks for your input, I have no intention of paying for information from any commercial enterprise.

will ask nicey or spend hours searching forums and the web , the van is 2007 so someone else must have had the same problem , just a matter of finding them. john.

When with hat in hand, further asking for a free bowl of soup, it would be wise to post an auto-scan to assist such a request as a good Samaritan, no?

jack, lov the bowl of soup analogy, have a used one off ebay coming so i can pull it apart to see how it works, still not sure if the one on the van is duff...could be the peddle or wiring. just looking on utube thought the thats a quick fix ..will try that. ..

Why ask for help being so cryptic, is the scan that hard to post?

Did you know we dont even know what fault code, module version or VIN number to try and help?

Did you know we get that information from the scans to help you when you ask a question?

Have you ever read the captions in basic settings in channels available in VCDS & they are FREE crackers with your empty bowl of soup, hey did you know that?

Hi Johne,
" I have no intention of paying for information from any commercial enterprise.". Yet you are prepared to pay for a used part you may not need. As Uwe would say "colour me confused"!
