So I changed the front pads on my wife's 2011 Q5 recently, but, I wanted to also change the dreaded rear pads (I heard about the electric parking brake complication). My Stepson suggested I get a Ross-Tech VCDS interface. The VCDS and online support were excellent- easy to use, and the pad job turned out to be easy as pie. Thank you Ross-Tech!!!

So, you read the available documentation and maybe even watched the video before you started the job?

THANK YOU!

You should see how many calls we get that go something like: "So I've got these rear brakes all disassembled, now what do I need to do with your tool?"

I would really recommend washing with foam soap and water rinse at HP PSI car wash and then pre lubrication of caliper pistons/sliders........... 15-30 minutes before disassembling the rear makes a huge difference if given the forethought.
Foam type penetrant......... so it perks in real good.
