2019 Q5, hit pothole, rack was damage and replaced. Airbag has B13BC. ODIS run on it several tries, no luck.

We tried airbag Basic Settings Reset analysis measured values and from that, the B13BC went from a hard code to intermittent and was able to clear out.

2018 Q5, similar story, some mishap but no airbags deployed, power steering rack busted up and replaced. Airbag had the same B13BC - Multiple collision brake: No function. Fresh key cycle, went into airbag and did Basic Settings "Calibrate installation location". He George didn't notice finished correctly, just not running. [Stop] and backed out of Basic Settings and was able to clear the code out.

So.... is this a fault code to expect when replacing the J500?

Hi Niels,

We don't have scans from either of those example cars however this recent one has that B13BC DTC in 15-Airbags:
https://forums.ross-tech.com/showth...tiple-fault-codes-after-tire-change-alignment

I *believe* B13BC F2 [137] Multiple collision brake: No function would have been stored in Jef's example cars (because it is often stored after alignments and repairs including new 16 modules) however I found other examples in our scans.

B13BC F1 [009] Multiple collision brake: triggered (Chassis Type: FS (8U0) scan)
B13BC F3 [009] Multiple Collision Brake: Function Disabled by Driver (same Chassis Type: FS (8U0 scan)

There's also a B13BC Multiple collision brake: Crash data stored but I don't have scans to obtain the complete DTC info.

2019 A6, airbag has:
B13BC Multiple collision brake: Crash data stored

Basic Settings IDE13545-ENG167462 Reset analysis measured values
Get a error for Security Access required. Exit out, ignition cycle, Security Access gives a pop up window with a code, accepted. Try the Basic Settings, again, SA required message. We try this a few times.. and hey, the airbag light is going out now when the ignition is cycled back on... the B13BC was now able to be cleared out.

Never got a "Finished Correctly" or "OK" type message, just nag about Security Access. Mission failed successfully.

Hi.
I am also solving the problem on the A4/B9 year 2016, how to turn off the airbag light.
There is a "collision brake" problem, and the problem of some "Databuses"
Do not notice the driver's airbag, it was disconnected during the scan because I was changing the steering wheel ring.
The car was after a partial collision, the front lights, mask and radiator were broken
How can it be solved? delete?.

Thanks for the help

Hello.
Can anyone think of anything? I can't delete B13BC and make the basic settings in group 15 airbags?
I still have an unsuccessful attempt, because I don't have, I don't know, the security access code.
Or do you have a specific procedure?
Thanks for the help

2020 A5 - Another busted up J500 due to some unplanned off road adventure. J500 replaced and coded.

Address 15: Airbags (J234) Labels:| 8W0-959-655.clb
Part No SW: 8W0 959 655 N HW: 8W0 959 655 N
Component: Airbag10.44 H09 0109

1 Fault Found:
9682162 - Multiple collision brake
B13BC F2 [10001001] - No function

Basic Setting:
IDE03567-ENG167462 - Calibrate installation location

Was getting the "Finished Correctly" statement, but the codes would not clear out. Then the ABS has new DTCs:

4529411 - Multi-Axis Accelerometer in Airbag Control Module C051D 00 [10100111] - Not Calibrated

Fix seem to be to lock the car up for +1 minute (cranky baby needs a nap), after that, was able to get DTCs to clear out of 03, 15 and 44. No warning lights now.

This worked perfectly for me, as described above (Thanks Jef)

Car was a 2021 Audi A5 35 TDI MHEV, airbag module details below.

Address 15: Airbags (J234) Labels:| 8W0-959-655.clb
Part No SW: 8W0 959 655 P HW: 8W0 959 655 P

We weren't even working on the airbags or ABS, but the engine control unit had to be removed as part of a repair in that area. On reconnecting everything and first ignition cycle we had the B13BC F2 fault permanently logged in the Airbag ECU and unable to clear it.

Carried out the calibration in Basic settings - IDE03567-ENG167462 - Calibrate installation location

It finished very quickly, stating 'finished correctly', then 'not running'.

Locked the car and left it for 5 minutes, then we were able to clear out the logged faults in ABS, Airbag & Steering Assist modules.

2018 SQ5, auction car, so no known history.... I can't find anything that implies it took an unplanned off road adventure (crashed).

Airbag:
9682162 - Multiple collision brake
B13BC F2 [10001001] - No function

So this was doing some Security Access and then Basic Settings:
  • IDE03567-ENG167462-Calibrate installation location
  • IDE13545-ENG167462-Reset analysis measured value

IDE03567-ENG167462-Calibrate installation location would run briefly and then not running...
IDE13545-ENG167462-Reset analysis measured value was ask for Security Access.

So after a few times of stumbling through those 2 basic settings, the code did clear out, but there was a yellow triangle warning in the cluster, but no relevant DTCs. Tech locked the car up and came back 30 mninutes later, no more yellow triangle warning light.... so some cars will need a bit of an extended nap.
