2014 Audi Q7 3.0 TDI S-Line-Unable to perform Suspension Level control calibration

Hello, everyone. Recently I've attempted to perform a calibration on my suspension as the front level seemed too high and upon measurement was actually closer to the rear default setting of 465mm instead of 449mm. I've followed all of the great instructions from the Ross-Tech site and not only could I not "fix" my issue, but now I'm stuck in Auto setting and the rest of my settings are greyed-out. I've done plenty of digging around and noticed that in the measuring blocks that the front left wheel seems to be reading much lower than the other three(physically close though). Upon attempting my calibration, the issue is that no matter what distance I enter into channel 1(left front), my entry is deemed invalid therefore I cannot complete the calibration. I've even gone as far as swapping out the front level sensors and no change, so I've eliminated that. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Did you try to change the calibration to a useful adaptation and than move sensor mechanical basic settings to achieve desired height or correct as per RTFB and make timing marks to verify baseline?

Is suspension mechanism or components damaged?

I’m not dismissing you but merely asking for some assistance. I’ve performed the procedure correctly and attempted it at least twenty times over the last couple of days. After assuming that one of my sensors were faulty, I swapped them with no change. I can’t seem to attach the screenshot of my measuring block values for the sensors. The front left value is around 75 while the other three are around 120. Swapping the front sensors made no difference. I’m not to thrilled about purchasing a manual if I don’t have to. I only need to set my control height yet channel 1 will not let me input anything at all. Thank you for the links to the manuals and checklists. Hopefully someone else has had a similar issue. That’s the great thing about forums, as there seems to be a wealth of information here.

You seem annoyed with my questions and direction to information to keep you safe, why, is it just shear impairment/impatient?

Well I see trying to conduct a repair without the manual as foolish unless in the business with life experience & while indeed the forum while brings knowledge and in some cases improvements with shared procedures it isn't a substitute for the RTFB.

Did you isolate & disconnect the sensor in question and watch the sweep value of VCDS in blocks, further to see if the number reaches a desired outcome to rule out mechanical limitations of the suspension from possible faulty install?

That's rather puzzling. But having one value that far out might explain why the procedure won't complete.

I have disconnected the linkage and moved it to the same value as the others so I know the sensor is mechanically sound, plus I swapped sides with the exact same result. All of this, in addition to the absence of any issues prior to my “improvement attempt”, I’d have to point to some problem that I have caused from a software standpoint. I’ve followed the procedure faithfully, beginning in auto, all doors closed, engine running, codes cleared, waited for the car to lower then raise itself first. I just can’t seem to figure this one out.

If you move LF sensor disconnected to suspension to value and force it to value close to other RF, will VCDS permit an adaption or beginning of basic settings then to prove it by crosscheck?

No, nothing is bent or broken. I’ve looked it over many times. I can try to move the sensor to a value closer to the others, but would it cause an issue if I were to support the vehicle? I have moved it to where we’re referring to yesterday and the front end dropped all the way down, understandably because it thought it was higher. Should I possibly disable auto leveling while doing this?

Now do you see why I ask if you took measurement or reference the RTFB? I know to you and maybe sometimes others, this is not what you want to hear, however, at least I think I'm consistent for the most part, right?
You may need to hear it 20 times first though huh, see that's me being a sarcastic asshole?
Did you know I raise the vehicle up with jack stands or lift on appropriate body area, not the suspension?
Then did you know I remove all respective sensor arms & qualify each range in VCDS blocks?
Did you know I then setup a baseline reading and use pole jacks to raise suspension as required to see it runs full range?
Then did you know I simulate the positions needed to do adaption and qualify the range adaption in VCDS so I don't over tax pumps?
Then did you know I compare height of arms hooked up in question & with range of sensor and modify position as needed to see they are in known balance with DVOM and VCDS blocks?
Did you know after I qualify all that I then set car down and do hopefully the final adaption?
