OK, now that we see what you've got, I assume you are following these instructions?
I am not sure what would cause "Aborted for Safety Reasons" at that point.
Are all the Prerequisites met?
Are all the car's doors closed?

thanks Uwe, yes, all doors closed, don't see anything there that is out of place, all instruction followed to a tee, I was a little short on 50% fuel, after I remedied that, it didn't even think before it gave me the abort message. Had me wondering if any chance it wasn't liking vehicle posture or stance, there is the trunk lid fault, think there is any chance it thinks its not closed, most often it closes normal, but sometimes, rare, but it will stay open

UPDATE, I was able to get past the abort for safety reasons one time, unfortunately I was in the car and rather than open a door and loose the chance, I input the measerments I had taken. the car worked flawlessly for 200 miles. The driver side was lower than the passenger. When I turned at junction into a stiff crosswind, it exaggerated the slight lean the car had and triggered the suspension fault. I have not been able to get past the Start up to reference levels since, but I discovered why. About 20 seconds into that step, I can see the car lowering, The Air suspension tire change in the MMI kicks on, and you immediately get the Abort for safety reasons.

The system needs to be fully functional before calibration is possible so adding to Jack's suggestion you might see if any of the BS operations such as:
[*IDE03756*] Pressure reservoir: filling
[*IDE03757*] Fill air shock absorbers for front axle
[*IDE03758*] Fill air shock absorbers for rear axle
[*IDE03759*] Fill left rear air shock absorber
[*IDE03760*] Fill right rear air shock absorber
.. could be used as a UDS protocol/New-school way to perform this type of (old platform) leak and component testing?

Thank You Jack and Dana for your direction. I will try your suggestions tomorrow. Just in case it gives any more thoughts I will clarify on my post. I do not think I have a leak. The car sits for weeks and does not sag. The pump does not run excessive if at all. The previous Recalibration was slightly off because after many failed attempts to get past the start to level control step in Dr Peters sequence, I happened to be in the car when it worked, and I knew I could not open a door and continue. My guessed entries for wheel measurements were very close. After the suspension fault came on, it reset the suspension on next engine start, and was working properly. I was trying to do it with accurate measurements. when it aborts the "Start up to reference level" step, to me it seems like it is lowering the car in response to that command. But as it is lowering the MMI switches the Tire Change to "on" by itself, and that is exactly the time when it aborts the step. When I switch the "Tire Change off" in MMI the pump starts up and raises car a little and shuts off and remains there.

The next time you calibrate it I would get something like a a cart, folding table/chair or (heavy/think) cardboard box that you can sit the laptop on outside of the car door. Leave the window down with the V2 wire running through the opening and then the door can remain closed so you can enter the proper measurements that way.
The recalibration is complete. Vehicle sits perfect, all systems that were blacked out are working correctly. I can't thank Uwe, Dana, and Jack enough for your help. I was in way over my head and you guys rescued me.

I got the "Abort for safety reasons" error message many, many times. I was relentless. I would move the vehicle, for a slightly different stance. Both times I got pass the error, the car was backed on the drive way, which is sloped slightly away from the door. I had attempted many times with car on perfectly level shop floor, so I don't know if it was that slight change or just shear number of attempts. One time it worked right after an update to VCDS. I still get Suspension errors sometimes, but they clear when I restart the car. Mine seems to have fewer issues when I run it in Dynamic mode. Sorry for late response.
