Let's imagine a bloke. This bloke is from the UK and let's call him a typical British name, for the sake of his privacy.
Since Will is his actual name, we'll use that.
Will owns a VW Polo and is familiar with VCDS. So far I like Will a lot, but things will take a drastic turn for the worse.
Somehow Will found my email address and linked this mail address to a deep love for the PQ25 platform. So far Will is right.
Let's see what Will wrote:

Futhermore I'm amused they changed the BCM and immo reader coil as well, why would you do that?
I'm going for the jackpot now since I just did another, almost identical, RHD Polo 6R. That went very well, so these must be the right codes.
I even gave him a free XDS diff and TPMS!
Yee ha, I'm so excited!
Still excited!
Back when I was still a doctor, I hated night shifts as well so I can relate...
However, come tomorrow:

I get it why you'd ask hobbyist people for help. I get it you don't want to pay top dollar for a dealer to do an SVM.
What I don't get is you're mailing me to help you out, I take some effort to do so and then as soon as it's done, you're ingoring me and take away my reward.
I'm 100 % sure the coding I gave him worked out. I'm guessing he simply doesn't want to pay me... such a shame.
This is exactly the reason I'll stop doing these e-mail requests and only post publicly on forums. I'm a bit cross with Will and people like him.

Hi buddy,
Only got round to trying these this morning and neither worked unfortunately! Still giving the errors 22. Appreciate your help so far though. Is there anything I need to do prior to the coding? Am doing the security login first.
I do also have vagtacho. Do I need to make sure the key codes are correct

Yes, please check the advanced ID of both the immobiliser and the engine to see if the VIN matches.
I don't suspect a classic VIN mismatch between ECU and ABS since I'm under the impression that this car actually started.
Futhermore I'm amused they changed the BCM and immo reader coil as well, why would you do that?

Ok, does the ABS module have the vin attached to it too? Because that wasn’t changed when the clocks, ecu, bcm and transponder ring etc was changed.
If so can I correct this in vcds or vag tacho?
Thanks

you don’t need to change the VIN in the ABS, just read module 01 and 17
I'm going for the jackpot now since I just did another, almost identical, RHD Polo 6R. That went very well, so these must be the right codes.

I get it why you'd ask hobbyist people for help. I get it you don't want to pay top dollar for a dealer to do an SVM.
