Some questions, that I'm bringing here from another thread:

I was not aware that the the name of the file that VCDScan wants has changed. When did that happen?
Yesterday :) , I thought Test was not the best name.
I'm confused. If that change only happened yesterday, why did version 25.7.0 need the file with the new name?

Here is an ini file, with all links I just could come up with.
In the past, it was safe to delete the .INI file and VCDS scan would re-create one. What happens to the links now if somebody does that?

To be sure he could use it, with the problem he told about, I thought it was best to make the ini file available and I then changed the rtf file and attached that also.

Yes but there was only Window last location.

There are much more defined now, with the 25.12.1

Hi, and thank you for your work. I have a "dumb noobie" question, but I have to start somewhere in order to learn.

I have downloaded VCDS Beta v26.2. Inside there in "applications" is VCDSScan tool v25.12.0
When I click on your link to latest VCDSScantool v26.3 in your post, I see that it is linked to a *.exe file. But it just opens a window that is immediately shut down on my windows 10 computer.
Is there any other "cunning" way to install latest version other than that is included in latest VCDS Beta 26.2?

I consider myself pretty new to this, even though I have used VCDS for years to scan my cars and done some very simple adaptions and coding.

Probably windows or your virus scanner thinks it is not correct.
Tell it is ok.
Copy exe file to C:\Ross-Tech\VCDS-Beta

It was my chrome browser. Used another browser and that worked fine. Downloaded the *.exe file and copied it to VCDS Beta folder. Now I have VCDSScantool v26.3.0!
Thank you!

{ 26.7.0 }

{ DTC analyse window added }

I have tried to make it easier to analyze Fault Codes.

Look at this pdf, from page 29, posted by Ziddywerks.
For example the dreaded U112x from Crasher, I think it is just important as information, almost all have Priority 6

I have testet many Autoscan's, but there will be other, that has different DTC text lines and order.
If you see some wrong data, please post the Autoscan file, or link to thread where it is.

I suggest to sort for MIL, Priority, Date and look Time.
Also notice notice the last 2 digits on the P B C U SAE codes, they can be different for the same SAE code.

For B and C codes, yes. For P and U codes, they should always be 00, unless the SAE/ISO specs have changed since the last time I reviewed them.

{ Look at lines in adpmap for [SFD ] after SFD unlock }
Link here, https://forums.ross-tech.com/

I made a new feature, to obtain a complete overview of the channels marked [SFD ] and which should be possible to change after SFD is unlocked.
