Hi all, thank you for adding me to your forum.

I would like to ask for a bit of help with my 2009 MK6 Golf. I'm having some issues with the ABS system and getting flashing ABS, Handbrake and TC lights flashing. I'm getting 01130 Implausible signal. Are there any common issues with these? I'm thinking it's the ABS module at fault. I've spoken to VW and they did a recall in 2017 and updated the software.

Any advice welcomed.

Hi, yeah I found that earlier. It's looking more likely that the module is toast. Cheers..

Would I be able to use a different part number and put in my coding or do I have to use exact number match?

In many case, the original part number has been superseded by newer one(s). You should refer to a proper parts catalog, because your chances with any old random MK60EC1 module are not good.

Where could I find the information, VW gave the same part number but ending in BJ but no numbers in between. It would be interesting to know what the common failure is and whether it's repairable. I just assumed the units could be recorded?

A proper parts catalog is something that's officially only available via subscription. Of course the dealer has access.

Thank you Uwe, would a 2010 Tsi 1.4 unit work? It's 1k0614157CP, could that be used?
Thanks in advance

Hi Justin,

Your original module SW # was 1K0 907 379 AD. VW's re-flash changed that to 1K0 907 379 CD:

Address 03: ABS Brakes (-----) Labels:. 1K0-907-379-60EC1F.clb
Part No SW: 1K0 907 379 CD HW: 1K0 907 379 AD

Installing another used module with the early/failure prone AD or CD part number is risky as Uwe mentioned. You don't want to find yourself replacing the replacement shortly after installation due to the labor involved swapping parts. The same applies to a used unit from a newer vehicle because it isn't very likely one from a 2010 MY will be correct.

The direct replacement repair kit (module only) for 1K0 907 379 AD is 1K0 907 375 AN. Repair kits are the most cost effective route when using new replacement parts:

The entire (pump and module) new assy is: 1K0 614 517 BJ BEF but those are significantly more cost wise:

Thank you Dana, I'll look at this option tomorrow. I didn't realise I could just change the module. I've done it the other way round for brake pressure issues on mk5's but when I asked VW for a repair kit they told me it wasn't available. So with that in mind, could I get that module part number on a different unit and just fit that to my pump? I'm looking for the most cost effective route and ideally source a used part as labour isn't important as I'll fit it myself. The car is just our run around until we find our replacement vehicle.
Thank you for your help, it's very much appreciated.
Kind regards
Justin

Hi, just wondering if 1K0907379AS would fit my car? Any ideas? I'm struggling to find exact number matches.
Thanks in advance

Well after much searching and the uncertainty of what abs module will fit and operate, I've finally sorted the car out. I managed to get a used module with a 1K061451AS part number, install it and re code with my old details abs voila it works! Thanks all for your help to date. The module options on the VAG range would appear to be a black art! Who'd have thought there would be so many variants.
