I own an imported US Jetta. (ODIS : DELA 2.0 tdi SCR / 110 kw - ELSA : 2.0 HL 110 TDIM6F 163x42 DELA PFN - VCDS : AJ163). I got the premium trim (the higheat here on the ones that came with hallogen headlights), not to be confused with the US market premium though (for instance, I don't have MFD on my instruments cluster).
I've done a lot of sucssesfull tweaks using VCDS. (That I will share on the forums once I make sure no one posted them already, to avoid redundance)
Now, on my Jetta, I have OEM electrical mirrors, they are heated too. But not power foldable (on my door knob i only have 4 switch positions : 0, R, L, Heating, no power folding).
I wanted to do some tweaks like the mirror dip while reversing, almost all tutorials point to door electronics adresses, which, as you'll notice on my auto-save, are not present. Does it mean I don't have door modules even though I have heated electric mirrors (and yes I don't have seats memory).
I want to install power folding mirrors, so what will be the way to go :
1- Just VCDS ? I'll post whatever may "help you help me" on the matter, am I missing something ? (Can Gateaway installation list ? Some slave sub module ? Anything)
2- VCDS and modules and knobs and whatnot combined installations and coding. If that is the way to go, then what exactly do I need to buy and install, references ?
3- Aftermarket stuff, like motors on the already present OEM mirrors. Is that even an option (I mean, there is a bunch of "questionable universal kits" ?
