My jaded mind believes this was deliberate in order to drive engagement and traffic. The internet LOVES to dog-pile on someone who's obviously and confidently wrong about something, so this could easily be such a web-traffic-generation scheme.

You'd have to be fucking blind to make that mistake. "Sport Fury GT" is not "Charger R/T", which is CLEARLY emblazoned on the front grill and rear bumper in multiple photos. And "Charger" has been a staple of Dodge's muscle/sport car line-up for literal decades, since 1966 (or 1964 if you include the original show car). It's quite possibly THE most recognizable muscle/sports car model name in the world! You'd have to be an absolute idiot to mistake that for an entire other brand's car, let alone confidently write a car-guy article with such blatantly wrong facts.

I stand by my jaded assessment: it was deliberate to get more clicks. Clicks = advertising dollars (unless you're like me and ad-block the shit out of the internet).

• PiHole DNS server on my home network
• uBlock Origin in Firefox (none of this Manifest V3 "adblock killer" bullshit from Google!)
• I Still Don't Care About Cookies addon to get rid of the bullshit EU "of course we put a cookie on your computer, that's literally how the internet works!" warning
• Adguard on my phone and tablet

I also don't watch live TV... at all, nor do I have Netflix, Hulu, etc.. I absolutely refuse to pay for a service AND get advertised to on it at the same time. I do have Amazon Prime Video, but only because i have a Prime account for the shipping benefits, and I don't bother to watch it for the same reason (advertising in a PAID service).

Side note: I'd love to have one of those invisible LCD screens (as windows/windshield), a spatial positioning camera, eye-tracking, and some sort of limited but highly efficient AI in a car. Every time it detects a billboard, it just blacks out or blurs the billboard, tracking exactly what your line of sight is so it moves with the target and doesn't cover up any other lines of sight.
