Choke knob, cigarette lighter, or high beam switch (foot actuated)? The shape means it could be any of the above.

I'm leaning towards high beam switch, assuming its position relative to the pedals is accurate.

Yep, remember that in my wife sister's Renault.. I surprise by the squirt bottle on the floor! It was like a '68 or '70.... It had lots of problems...

Most vehicles from that time period that had a washer fluid system (which was quite the luxury feature!) used a push rod in the dash to operate the manual spray pump. I've never heard of a floor-mounted one until today.
