^^^^ A practical joke we've played on numerous people is to take a long zip-tie and tie it around the drive-shaft (RWD) or one of the half-shafts (FWD), without cutting the end off, leaving it to slap against the body with each rotation of the shaft. They typically notice the unusual noise pretty quickly, but it almost always takes them a while to find it.
