Buying a used acc sensor, whats needed?

Hi guys, i just wanted to know if i bought a used front acc sensor to put on my car golf mk7, how do i code it to work?
Is it simple as tick a box in long coding or something more than that..

What year Mk.7? Did it previously have ACC and the original sensor needs to be replaced for some reason, or are you trying to retrofit ACC into a car that didn't have it before?
