I bought mine with ~60,000 miles on it in 1986, modded it heavily, beat the crap out of it for years, sold it with ~180,000 on it in 1994, and the last time I saw it, it had ~240,000 on it.

And yes, I broke stuff, but that car was always pretty cheap and easy to fix.

Oh, and the biggest reason I sold it was I had a long commute then and I wanted a car with A/C, which that one did not have.
