Can't say I'm surprised...

There is a local guy here, who is happy that his BYD has been repainted under warranty, because of the rust spreading under the paint from chips...

Great Wall utes were having rust repair under warranty (and sometimes before being sold new!) and show up somewhat often in damaged car auction with serious rust... worse than my 30 year old Land Rover.

We don't even have salt on our roads!

It's like the old Russian Ladas, from the 80's and 90's!

I wonder if @Dr Sheldon has seen this?

No not seen that one - Would like one to test !!

So far not much there that cannot be done with a Pico Scope, Pico WPS, Pico NVH, and Sealey TL95,01

However this does seem an easier way to hook up - But it does need to work with the car going up a steep hill, 3rd gear, Foot to the floor making it scream - Which I think it will !!

Is it worth a $1000 dollars? and then one will need a scope too - Not every one has one !!

At $200 dollars i would have ordered it 10 minutes ago !!

With the Pico alone I can measure the Injection Duration in each cylinder for two revolutions of the Crankshaft - One that is Higher, Lower, different can also be an indication of the ECU masking an upcoming fault, deterioration .... .... .... Often it is not the tool - More the imagination and insight to make more use of the ones you already have !!

It's clearly intended for people like you who already have a 'scope and want to increase its capabilities.

Indeed - It is the price point that is my concern !! Especially when I THINK !! Do i need it ?

However will talk to my friends at Pico - See what they make of it and be guided that way !!

Weird that cheap non oem parts can cause issues.... who would've guessed?
Hey, at least it was an obvious, no-name part rather than a shameless fake.

Parts or wiring or other?? (choose before you view).

"Parts" seemed like a deliberate red herring of a choice, plus this is a BMW, so I actually would have thought wiring. Go figure it's a generic no-name part.

Semi shameless plug, the VW ID Talk folks asked me to be a guest on their podcast. They have other episodes too, including Chris from Battery Life so their channel is worth a follow:

Andy, it was good to meet (see) you! And the SFD insight (7:30 - 8:50) regarding VCDS was also very informative. Thanks, and please post more videos when you (or other RT employee's) appear on this ,or other, pod casts!
