Yeah, I'm a bit surprised that Dan did an A/C "Service" first when he had an "Open Circuit" fault code for the A/C Compressor Actuator.

VCDS would have shown that as "Control Circuit for A/C Compressor -- Open or Short to Plus"

This is a Lincoln (Ford in a fancier dress), not a VW, but we see somewhat similar problems here with regularity, and this is a good example of real trouble-shooting vs. blindly following "Guided" nonsense or, in Ford's case, a flow-chart, and then replacing parts that weren't actually the cause of the problem, not just once, but twice!

That guy bashes the dealer too much, they are forced to use flow charts of the maker. It is what it is, yes, not good for the customer. The russian will have its doors closed, in the long run, if it does not bring his rhetoric to an decent level.

I think they deserve it. I can understand them swapping out the grill shutter once, but after that didn't fix the problem, they should have put on their thinking hats, especially since there was never a fault code for the shutter. The flow-chart (or in the case of VAG, "guided fault finding") has to be abandoned at some point when it doesn't fix the problem!

Well, here in the USA, we do have pretty strong freedom of speech. The most any dealer can do is to ban him from doing business with them, which at least one Audi dealer has already done.
