Toyota, the car which drains its 12V auxiliary to death, if you leave the car 3 weeks in the parking. Been there already. Brand new car, 10 years warranty. 5-6-7 times already in the dealer. What a poor show. Never a Toyota again. So glad I got rid of it.
My brother-in-law has a Yaris Cross hybrid, if he doesn't drive it for more than a couple of weeks the 12V battery goes flat. All the local dealer have suggested after multiple visits is that he keeps a small solar panel in the car connected to the 12V feed in the OBD socket - good idea, except the car is parked in the garage!!!

IMO it's negligent to have enough current draw on a parked vehicle for the battery to go dead in less than 30 days. Either the battery is too small or the drain excessive. We refer to this in the industry as "PPE" - Piss Poor Engineering! :(

Does the garage have electricity? If so, there are these devices called "battery maintainers".

Most of their straight ICE products have a very good reputation on this side of the pond -- far better than anything VAG has made in the last 20 or so years. Their older hybrids like the Prius, but I'm not at all sure about their current generation of (more?) electrified stuff.

However, the driving experience in many Toyota products is best described as soul-less.

15 years ago, I was at a Bass Pro Shops location where Toyota had set up a booth showing off some of their engineering choices and why it made their cars more reliable than the competition - things like felt body shims instead of rubber, over-spec'd top-end materials, stronger suspension components, better software tunes, etc. I want that Toyota back, the one that really cared about making a better product than their competition. They still do it in EPA metrics (Toyota still makes the best hybrid drive systems, for example), but they stopped doing it in the quality of materials and assembly. :(

I thought the Porsche folks would enjoy this ("movie") video! Lots of factory oem tools for the 80's and 90's Porsches.

Also, at time 1:24,14 there is a way cool Bosch ABS type of scanner diag. tool !

Sadly it doesn't.
Put a 12V solar panel on the roof, or even on a south-facing wall and and run a pair of wires inside to plug into the car?

Does the garage have a light bulb? If so, get one of these adapters (obviously in UK flavor...) and use the pull chain to turn the light on and off while leaving the light switch on.

I think Dave already told us the garage does not have electricity.
Which some in the UK take to specifically mean it doesn't have outlets. I'm covering that possibility, just in case.

I'm a qualified electrical/electronics engineer, I know what having electricity means!

Unfortunately this situation has been developing for a long time. With China expanding into all world markets with lower cost products and Russia's imperialism, the world has changed forever. This is the new reality and no country is immune. :(

Why do so many Youtube videos use absurd click-bait titles?

Yes, VW is shutting down one plant in Germany, but that's not the same as, "Volkswagen SHUTS DOWN in Germany".
