Hello,
This is a quick guide to help you perform the 'manual' Basic Settings of the Sunshade and/or Sunroof.
Basic Settings are intended after a repair or any time the Basic Settings fault codes are set.
This procedure may work with other vehicles.
Typical fault codes found in the [4F-Centr. Electr. II] are as follows:
02906 - Control Module for Sliding Roof; Rear (J392)
02907 - Control Module for Roof Shade (J394)
Tools required:
- A finger or a thumb
Prerequisites:
- No Sunshade or Sunroof failures/concerns.
- Ignition on, battery voltage above 12v or engine idling.
- The Sunroof's rotary switch is at the closed position (A)
In drivers seat, facing forward, looking up.
Sunroof Motor Adaptation:
- Pull the Sunroof's rotary switch down (1) and hold for it for 20 seconds.
- The Sunroof Glass will attempt to close and the and then will open about 20cm(7-3/4").
- Then a few moments later, the Sunroof Glass closes and the Basic Settings are now complete.
- Release the button and verify the Sunroof operates properly.
Sunshade adaptations:
- Press the Sunshade's close button (3), Sunshade should close and then open about 20cm(7-3/4").
- Once the Sunshade has stopped moving, press and hold the Sunshade's close button (3) for 20 seconds.
- The Sunshade will close, then open and then re-close, a delay is normal.
- Release the button and verify the Sunroof operates properly.
