Hi everyone! I have a 2013 Audi S5 and I just got verified so i'm moving my thread to the proper location. I just got my first Ross-Tech VCDS earlier this week. I bought this VCDS because i'm hoping it could help me fix my fault codes 02895 & 02897 (Supply for Left & Right LED Parking Lamp/DRL Module-Electrical malfunction in circuit). One of my mechanics worker was messing around in my headlight system with some other code reader because I had a different fault code at the time. Some how he changed some settings and I ended up with 3 fault codes including the original one i came in with. Admittedly I caused the first fault code because I was messing around with my OBDEleven I just bought. I wanted to adjust my head light level and I followed this YouTube clip to do that.

Without really understanding or knowing how these diagnostic tools work, I some how caused my first fault code which was "Headlight range control defective!" The OBDEleven sorta crashed or froze half way when I was doing one of the steps in that video. But to keep a long story short. My mechanic was able to fix that in the adaptation section. The OBDEleven disabled something and caused the Headlight range control.
Soooo.... Now i'm left with the 2 remaining fault codes that my mechanic worker caused, whom also isn't familiar with Audi/VW. My mechanic and I have been doing alot of research and he thought it was both my DRL Modules, and his friend who is a Audi/VW mechanic said it was a common issue with my generation Audi. But I didn't think that because my DRL LEDs were working during the day! But regardless I had my mechanic replace both DRL Modules, and i'm still getting those 2 fault codes.
After that I started playing around with my mechanics Autel, learning about long coding and how these diagnosis tools worked. So basically after playing around with my headlights and the Autel, I concluded that the only reason why i'm getting these 2 fault codes is because when my head lights are on, the LED DRL doesn't dim and light up anymore. I only get these fault codes the moment my head lights are on!
Anyways I decided to buy Ross-Tech VCD so I have the right tools to try to fix his issue myself. But if someone here has any ideas or encounter similar situations, with a fix please let me know!
So far I did my first AutoScan and saved it yesterday, because a member here told me its the first thing I should do and post it. Then I went through the long code helper in the central electronics bit by bit and I didn't find anything to turn on the DRL with the low beam. However I did find a way to turn on the DRL with the high beam, but it didn't do anything, which I actually played with all these bits with my mechanics Autel.
