Are we going to be able to access and depict what each bytes and bits mean in the aforementioned modules in future revisions of VCDS for this platform please?

I'm especially interested in both modules specifically because my new car has Kessy and 'Rain closing' wont work at all! People have reported that it just wont work if you have Kessy! (keyless entry)

Thanks in advance

Whether every bit of every byte in those modules will ever be documented is somewhat questionable. Much depends on what info we can find. Understand, VW doesn't provide us with any support or info at all.

Yeah I though that was the case, i've noticed a few 'key' areas have changed over the Mk7 platform. Originally I bought a Build week 04 Mk7 GTi earlier this year and that allowed/ coded rain closure successfully as well as displaying 'SOC' (state of charge) on the instrument cluster (17) but on my current car which is a build week 44 Golf GTi (basically the same car and spec) there is no such option available to select from the 'adaption' drop down box the relates to battery charge level so presumably 'State of charge' is no longer available.

I think the rain closure feature may have an option within the Can Gateway module (19) on later vehicles (like the Mk6) which needs to be enabled as well as the other areas that need to be coded as covered in topics over several websites in quite detail (credits to those individuals)....but that is just a hunch I have.
