NOTE: USE AT YOUR OWN RISK! NONE OF THIS INFORMATION HAS BEEN VALIDATED
I wanted to post this info to see if anyone else could add to it.

This is the information I have found regarding the MK100 ABS controller sourced from (Mostly GTI) Auto-scans I have had access to as well as from other threads on the matter

EDIT: I have moved all of the below information to a Google Docs spreadsheet found >>HERE<<

I am starting to wonder if Byte 0-3 are combined to make the Vehicle model.
For Example
Code:
01FA6BA1: VW Golf 7

43FA6AA1: VW Golf Variant 7

0BFA6BA4: VW Tiguan MQB

Since I cannot edit the first post any longer here is some updated info regarding Byte29

Code:

8x RCTA Installed
2x HCA Installed
0x RCTA And HCA NOT Installed

x1 ESC ON
x2 ESC ON/ASR OFF
x3 ESC ON/ESC SPORT
x4 ESC ON/ESC OFF
x5 ESC ON/ASR OFF/ESC OFF
x6 ESC ON/ESC SPORT/ESC OFF
x7 ESC ON/ASR OFF/ESC OFF

Information regarding Byte 24 & 27

So, to test a theory, I applied some coding changes to my car. During that adventure I found some more info regarding Byte 24 and 27.

1) If I set Byte 24 Bit 4 I get the following from the ABS controller
Code:
1 Fault Found:
8196 - Databus
          U1121 00 [009] - Missing Message
[FCAN : ACC_10 message is not received]
Confirmed - Tested Since Memory Clear
Byte 24 Bit 4 seems to be a flag for the vehicle having Adaptive Cruise Control.

2) If I set Byte 27 Bit 0 I get the following from the ABS controller
Code:
8331 - Databus
          U1121 00 [137] - Missing Message
[FCAN: Quersperre_03 message is not received]
MIL ON - Confirmed - Tested Since Memory Clear
Byte 27 Bit 0 seems to be a flag for the vehicle having a Differential Lock module (VAQ).

3) If I set Byte 27 Bit 1 I get the following from the ABS controller
Code:
8260 - Databus
          U1121 00 [009] - Missing Message
[FCAN: Pla_01 message is not received]
Confirmed - Tested Since Memory Clear
Byte 27 Bit 1 seems to be a flag for the vehicle having a PLA module.

4) If I set Byte 27 Bit 7 I get the following from the ABS controller
Code:
8216 - Databus
          U1121 00 [009] - Missing Message
[FCAN: Fahrwerk_01 message is not received]
Confirmed - Tested Since Memory Clear
Byte 27 Bit 7 seems to be a flag for the vehicle having a Suspension Regulation module (DCC).

Another addendum RE: Byte 24 & ACC

So after some digging I have some more info regarding Byte 24

NOTE: AS THIS BYTE DEALS WITH ADAPTIVE CRUISE, PLEASE TREAT THIS INFORMATION WITH A GRAIN OF SALT.

This info has been validated across a limited group of NAR GTIs from year 2015-2018

Byte 24
Code:
00: no Front Radar, standard cruise control (PR 8T2)
10: Front Radar with standard cruise control (PR 8T2)
14: Front Radar with ACC (PR 8T5)
16: Front Radar with ACC (PR 8T3) [returns an OUT OF RANGE error on MK100ESP systems]
ALSO, I have a google docs sheet with all this information in a slightly better format. If you would like to view it/make a comment to help out, you can find it HERE

And another addition...

It looks like Byte 26 has (AHEM, Lets pause for a moment and be honest here, figuring out MK100 coding is like trying to read a book with no letters. might have) something to do with the type of rear wheel speed sensor is installed as the vehicles that have byte 26 set as 50 show in PL24 as having the bi-directional sensors by VIN

Byte 26 Rear Wheel Speed Sensors
Code:
00 Standard Rear Wheel Speed Sensors
50 Bi-Directional Rear Wheel Speed Sensors
also, I got around to checking out Byte 10 as well and it definitely has a connection to FWD/4motion

Byte 10
Code:
02: FWD
03: 4motion | If I set this on my GTI, it throws a Missing Message fault for the Allrad (I'm assuming short for Allradantrieb "all wheel drive") module.

Somnus, thanks for sharing the Spreadsheet.
But please correct your thanks on the T6 Page.
I don't know who the person is that you are thanking there, but clearly he just took my work from here: https://forums.ross-tech.com/showth...s-mk100-coding&p=163327&viewfull=1#post163327 and gave it to you in his name.
That is not ok.
Correct this please.

Somnus, apology accepted, all ok :)
Please keep the Data in your Spreadsheet, it was my intention to make this Data public, so better it is available on different places.
Just add a short link to the original source.
Greetings

Quick Update: (and to help with forum searches)

I have seen a few questions pop up around the wheel speed sensor coding in the MK100 ABS module (Byte 26)

Specifically, should it be 50 or F0 for the bi-directional sensors.

Well, from my research, the answer is:

50 is for Multi-Link Rear Suspension
F0 is for Torsion Beam Rear Suspension

I am writing with the hope that my info will make your spreadsheet more complete. if you look at my autoscan:

https://forums.ross-tech.com/showthread.php?19690-MY2017-Golf-1-4-TSI-92kW-BMT-Sport-quot-R-Line-quot-Hatchback-3-doors

I find your sheet to be "wrong" for bytes 01 02 06 08 12 24 25

let me know what you think :)
You are indeed correct, the spreadsheet is far from a complete source, but I am grateful for the information that your scan has provided.

I have updated the spreadsheet accordingly. :)

If I may ask, which part of Bytes 20 & 24 & 25 are incorrect?

EDIT: My Apologies, I misread byte 25 as 20.

I beg to differ here with darkchina. Byte 24 bits are well known for a long time already. Byte 20 is inverse byte of byte 10.

So I’m also interested in hearing what is wrong with those bytes?

BYTE 24 is ok for ACC, but I also have PLA 3.0. how come my bits 5 and 6 are both at 0...? I happen to remember that setting those bits enabled always resulted with errors in the PLA.

BYTE 25 I have AUTO HOLD (it's a perk from the Electronic Parking Brake), maybe I am wrong in assuming it's the same as HILL HOLD...?

Byte 24: In regards to PLA3, I have marked Bit 6 as "PLA related" since we have incomplete information regarding that bit specifically. I have however seen some scans with factory equipped PLA3 that has Bit 5 selected

Byte 25: I was under the impression that Auto-hold and HHC are different since auto-hold will hold the vehicle in place (Via the EPB) indefinitely, whereas HHC only holds line pressure for a short duration before releasing the pressure and letting the car roll back. which begs the question, are the two controlled via two separate byte locations, or is auto-hold an Adaptation.

I definitely have some more digging to do...

They are different things. Hill hold and autohold.

+1

My Octavia III with manual gearbox cannot have Auto Hold as the Octavia III doesn't have an EPB but it does have Hill Hold where the hydraulic pressure is maintained for a few seconds after you release the brake pedal.
