Brake Booster line mock up, brackets, anti chafe provisions, clamps and landed!

Clamp at pro vent TBD in process!
Clamp at fire wall and fan control unit landed, moving flexibility point by braided rubber line reinforced with internal spring wound!
Verify possible clearance chafe point at strut tie bar check!



Chafe selves added to braided hose!
Flat extension bracket determined in front of pro vent to add stability with chafe sleeves in process.


Booster circuit and forward bracket complete with notch for clamp all stuff painted it's a wrap for brake booster!

SAT update........SUMP MOD!

Pro vent drain to SUMP add addition with pipe to integrated baffle labyrinth in oil pan "grid" trap door design not shown.

Run and route hose from Provent in process still for additional two brackets TBD @ Trans case.

Start FAB on the fly........

REMOVE lower stress bar and dog bone drain oil and remove turbo return line.

REMOVE PAN FOR QT INSPECTION OF GIRDLE AND OIL QUALITY & TOO VACATE ASSEMBLY PASTES. CHECK!



DRILL HOLE IN PAN AND BEND PIPE LEFT OVER FROM CHINA TOILET PAPER HOLDER & TO MAKE USE OF SCRAP WHICH IS NOW A RACE CAM BRAKE ROTOR TOILET PAPER HOLDER.
WELD IN PLACE FREE HAND BRACKET TO HOLD FOR VIBRATION.

MIGHTY VAC THE LINE AFTER WELD AND PAINT ....CHECK!
INSTALL PAN TEST FIT WITH GRID .....CHECK



VERIFY RETURN LINE AND CUT TO ESTIMATE ROUTING FROM MANN PRO VENT........CHECK.
LAND FASTENERS......

HOSE TYPE DOUBLE BRAIDED ATF AND DIESEL TYPE TO NOT REACT!




THAT'S IT FOR TODAY......BEAT!
SAMS CLUB RUN AND TIME FOR COCKTAILS AND DEBRIEFING!

Mock/Weld up, painted landed Mann pro vent brackets to sump at Transmission/starter location for chafe at starter solenoid/lower radiator hose during motor TQ solved + for resonance solution.

Passive Static coolant tests are indeed in commencement..........mighty vac used at return to expansion tank line to bleed & why not clamped.

Then heat gun is used to warm radiator and engine to observe for level change and weep trace.

Well that is it...... I officially HATE Ethanol in Gasoline and Diesel FUEL!

Brand new fuel pump was attacked by it and destroyed from shear corrosion and even with controlled environment, preventive inhibitors and fuel stabilizer. :banghead:

Another New pump installed and fuel tank and lines flushed to service ports.

Found leak at filler line & so installed a new clamp.

Static coolant test for leaks has not moved a bit! YAY!

Ethanol in diesel fuel? I'd hate that too; it would cause far more problems there than in gasoline!

You should move the heck out of NYS. Rural Virginia or Florida, where non-ethanol gasoline is still readily available. :D

Welded barb on down-pipe for EGT that came in.

Installed harness with spiral wrap and secured for floating strain relief at rack with tie wrap.

PSI test hold 1 week statics, check!

Secondary FPR and hold + increasing loads, check!

Custom metal line sent from FPR to strut tower FPR compete with float for chafe verified.




EGT gauge landed in dash.....Historic digit type + cutting and type to match era.

I love all my scan tools and yours I hold dear, because it's from you and all my friends at RT with comprehensive functionality!
You know this!
When I can have access to a tester that boots in no time flat and just plug it in, with a shop environment rugged case. Being able to play VAG text through what I want, you know I'm doing that, it's faster & so am I.
More in my head that way too. Sometimes VCDS does too much for people and they may not realize it, but to me it's made people lazy!
I can navigate a blue box blind in the dark & on a road test
Without taking eye off road, can not with a laptop nor a phone lawfully, however, a blue box scanner I never had my balls broken over it by PD.
