2015 Jetta TDI, factory refurbished .DSG

Bought this with 49,000 on the clock 62,000 now. Do oil myself but every morning wrench symbol shows on dash but is not a code IMO.

Don't know if there is a reset upon oil change ECT as did not see it addressed in manual. WRENCH goes away after 10 seconds, will post a scan if advised all good.

No I did not but will..

Just googled it and there were 5 video, all 5 did it 5 different ways, guess there is many roads to Rome.

But did note going to settings seems to be the correct way, will do that and see.

As with most things learn it when confronted with a problem, but thanks and will GET it done and post back, seems pretty straight forward but I usually can make it hard.

Okay sorry for the lack of info, thought this would be as simple as re setting the gas milage log, but me and computers never get along.

That said SRI has several entries but only high lights (Save to Log) the perform SRI is not highlighted, but (dONE GO BACK IS. When I click on any of the resets it will not allow me to write in new information, I seems to me but have darn sure been wrong before. Then not in info Dave posted some units don't respond typically and even clicked on the North America thing and other with same response.

All said the SRI is more of an irritation than a problem, but noted faults that interest me, and one of the main ones is the level of soot which I need som tutoring on as those numbers mean nothing to me as to good bad or indifferent.

This Item was addressed by dealer 7,000 miles ago and don't know if it has reappeared or what, but was a plug under seat unplugged during detailing. I have since this scan cleared all codes to see if it raises it head again as is on warranty.

UWE, In my life I have missed a lot of steps, getting used to it. Will try and get back in today and give it a whirl.

All my previous VAG projects involved older cars so have never fully utilized the total power of this unit, still learning.

Was some smart SOB designed this 4 sure, but again, have been wrong before if you know what I mean.

Okay, here is the last scan although not asked for, and seems I was able to get rid of some other history which I thought VW would have addressed at the time of the issue it was in for, guess I'm asking too much. Gone are the 4 codes which were most troubling and all that is left is No commo from cruise and a tuner issue. Don't know what to say as both work just fine, but maybe some advice in that direction would be nice.

Okay, The SRI was able to clear the first six to a numeral of 0, also the last 2, but (max distance to service, Max time to svs, max to inspection, distance to inspection, would have thought I could over ride those number and write in my own but not. Picture override said appears to be unitialized control module valid wsc/importer data may be required. That said I got the others reset and wrench is gone, still learning here.

Okay as per Jacks request went to OBD2 was not sure of the request of 0 03 but copied mode 9 if that helps. All said there were no codes in any of the brackets of OBD2, and interesting enough I use Mode 6 in domestic but don't see it here.

Having PC issues here as will not allow me to paste any logs in this reply box, will open another on below and see if I can get it done, both OBD2 mode 9 and mode 3, also logs form new scan.

JACK, your scaring me, like, asking me what is wrong with it???,LOL.

Have no idea as like said everything works perfect, and when we say distance sensor need to define exactly what that is. Milage, speed, not sure. All I know is everything to my knowledge works fine other than has a code here.

As far as modified I have no idea?, as bought it off a VW lot here and know no more other than that. Like stated had the Add blue issue a few months in which they accessed as an unplug to that heater under the seat and other than that no issues.

As a side note the Add Blue Heater code was troubling for me as far as trusting anybody wrenching on ones car. Dealer ship called VW corporate and wanted to replace the whole module, VW, said wait a minute???? how about a little more time under the hood before we drop 1000.00, (guessing here.) Well as it turned out now that they were forced to research a little it was unplugged under the passengers seat, ALL GOOD.

My point being if this had been a general guy would have been billed for the module, then when it was not working they would have then done some more work and found it was just wiring. In the end IMO, would have been well NEEDED IT ANYWAY, and nobody any wiser, all this JMO, but not far from the truth.

Also most the codes were still in there which I thought they would have cleaned that up on exit.

Just putting in my 2c here, on our 2016 NMS with similar enough cluster, the wrench was caused by DTCs in the TCM, which you have. Point of origin seemed easy to me as it shows in place of the gear display.

Jack, the work on the add blue douser, was about 5,000 miles ago but will get the paper work out for specifics. I am still learning this system but surmise the heater failure in the unit has to do with not allowing it to freeze as read somewhere it boils and freeze at minimal levels that make it somewhat problematic in both extremes.

Also you asked for mode 9 screen shot, thought that is what I captured at the bottom of the post, but can do again if need be.

Don't have ERWIN info yet and need to get it. Might look at that sensor via PICO and see if I seem issues with it.

Would have bought a stick but wife's back is bad, so is what it is. You said don't buy DSG unless you like being a whipping boy, guess I be it, just have to suck it up and deal with it. Actually I dig the way it works. Like the beautiful blond on the poster, caption under says, SOMBODY SOMEWHERE IS SICK OF HER SHIT, right now I liken the DSG, but was told, so no whining from me if it happens.

All said I really like this car, like the way it pulls but having to relearn driving. Sucker does better at 80 than 60, just not legal here much. Is the definition of Italian tune up.

I'm really surprised no one came up with an external strainer and cooler/pump for all the VAG auto-gear boxes and marketed it as a kit.
As always heat is the enemy............

9647 - Reductant Injector Valve (Bank 1)
P208E 00 [096] - Stuck Closed
Intermittent - Not Confirmed - Tested Since Memory Clear

When I say what they fixed, this is it, the reductant heater and was mistaken how long ago as time flies when having fun. Also this happened at 52,000 miles and was last Jan, almost a year. The error was as stated not a malfunction but somebody disconnected wiring which was under the seat.

Also, another question?, did not see it under data, but maybe there and I missed it. Does the ADD BLUE show up anywhere denoting it's level or is this just a crap shoot. Seen where it shows oil level and also, how does it know oil level, is there a sensor there much like coolant in the bottle, just asking as it was pretty specific on where the low is and where mine is.

Either will work.

The PNG format is generally better for screen-shots. It uses lossless compression that will display an image as sharp as the original and usually produces a smaller file than JPG for images with a small number of colors (like screen-shots). A JPG can be used for screen-shots but the image probably won't be as sharp and the file size will likely be larger.

A JPG is generally better for actual photos. PNG will also work, but because real photos have a large color gamut, a PNG file's lossless compression will usually make for much larger files than JPG.

So the general rule of thumb is: Photo: JPG. Screen-shot: PNG.
