Hi, I'm new to the forum - Based in Ireland, I drive an B8 A4 2.0ltr with a CVT box. I have had 4.5 years of virtually trouble free driving with this great car but, but engine management lights just came on out of the blue the other day when I started the car. The car is driving fine but, I'm getting fault readings on the scan with the intake manifold flap and an rpm ECU unit.
I removed the hosepipe on the EGR unit to have a look at the condition/coking of the unit as I thought this may be something to do with it but, although oily the unit was quiet clean withvirtually no coking build up.
Any idea's on what the issue is and how I can resolve the faults? Is it OK to continue driving as I have a 400mile round trip to do in the next week and don't want to come a cropper on same. I read on a thread of another forum that the engine could go into limp mode with this error?
