Hey everyone.

Is there a way via VCDS to adjust the "grip" timing or sensitivity of the auto-hold function ?

Both myself and my wife are irritated of its way of suddenly gripping in low speed traffic or parking the car. Annoying and unsafe in my opinion.

Thanks Ben

I'm unsure if there is away of adjusting, but I know exactly what you mean. I have an '09 A4 B8 and does the same. I think the ABS controller is watching brake light switch and vehicle speed. As soon as it sees 0 mph with brake pressed- it activates hill hold. Remember hill hold retains the hydraulic brake pressure, unless it detects further movement whereby you hear it doing its stuff to increase the brake line pressure and you get 'grabbed'.

I'd love to find an adaptation channel for 'BLS and 0 mph for x.xx seconds' so you can do smoother stops. We all subconsciously release brake pressure slightly the moment before stopping, but at this point ABS thinks we have stopped and activates hill hold.
