Hi Everyone. Pretty New to the coding scene. Only had a little Play with my 3 Licence cable. I have recently Purchased a MIB2 DP Brain. Sent it to Europe to have Activations, CP Working. Unfortunately my Factory MIB2 didn’t come with App-Connect.

I’ll be Posting when I run into trouble with Adaptions to my car. I have Nearly everything working to my original car spec. Just a few errors trying to figure out going from a non Pro to Pro in a non Pro Car.

Any Help would be very much appreciated. And a big thank you in advance.

^^^ hmm....... CP error still functional in your scan report. When you say " Sent it to Europe to have Activations, CP Working" - what precisely did you mean? CP not working is a good thing

As Sebastian sagely advises HERE , the 1555 error in the 5F module can be dealt-with by updating the "check-sum" (you have to calculate the new value using an exclusive-or operator), but CP error looks like a more urgent problem(IMO)

So - I've highlighted Byte 19, Bit 5 - which tells the module that the MOST bus (optical fiber facility) is active. As you can see, your code says that MOST is active, but your autoscan doesn't appear to have a Digital Sound Package module to receive/send Optical comms. I'm guessing that this is causing the optical data bus fault - try changing this Byte/Bit to 0

I sent the unit to Europe for CP activation and Feature activations @ http://www.mmirepair.com it shows in VCDS as CP error but the DP works as it should. (As seen in photos) No restrictions. The green menu is locked down to only those 4 options also. I have a feeling the CP error is my amp? Or lack there of?

Just standard polo 6C amp? I’m really not sure if it has one. Just from my readings I see people who change mib brain sometimes have cp error with original amp combination? I assume this is why I have second cp error? Sorry I’m really just learning as much as I can right now.

OK - I'm fairly sure that the Aussie polo 6C doesn't come standard with an external amplifier. The fact that your auto-scan doesn't register a control module (J525)at address hex47 kind-of confirms my hypothesis

Hmm........ not sure what happened when the MIB was "sent to Europe to have Activations, CP Working" - but here's a lift-out from VW's official document regarding CP (I've highlighted the relevant bit)
Component protection
.....component protection for a variety of control units.... is designed to prevent any unauthorised replacement of components. The component protection master used is the data bus diagnostic interface J533. Following replacement, control units with component protection must be enabled online by FAZIT, or the control unit will be restricted in function or will not work at all.

Hmm........ not sure what happened when the MIB was "sent to Europe to have Activations, CP Working" - but here's a lift-out from VW's official document regarding CP (I've highlighted the relevant bit)
Component protection
.....component protection for a variety of control units.... is designed to prevent any unauthorised replacement of components. The component protection master used is the data bus diagnostic interface J533. Following replacement, control units with component protection must be enabled online by FAZIT, or the control unit will be restricted in function or will not work at all.

Im thinking the magic they have done on the unit regarding CP is troubling the car but has fooled the 5f brain (as it works flawlessly.)? I will contact my euro friend and see if he can remote remove cp errors. it is very hush knowledge of what has been exactly done to the activations etc. which I guess is good.

Just the 2 CP errors remaining. but I assume these do no harm. as the MIB is Activated and has full functionality. if anyone with a retrofit can confirm that would be great.
