7P6 telephone retrofit no A2DP functionality
I had a guy come to me with a B7 Passat.
He had swapped over the 9w2 bluetooth module for a 9ZA, that had been installed in a Polo (so had a cradle).
He hadn't been able to pair his phone because the BT module was expecting a dock.
Changed the coding, phone paired fine.
The issue is that music streaming is not displaying track/title info, and the steering wheel controls are not controlling track forward/back.
According to the info available, this 7P6035730L should support A2DP, and it should also support AVHCP 1.3 from what I understand.
The module reports that it's incorrectly coded and I'm not sure why it reports this, but is hopefully the reason why it's not performing properly with streaming.
Have tried resetting all adaptation values in the BT module, clearing all users, and have tried with an iphone and an Android 7 phone.
The BT module has up to date software. I even updated the RCD510 from sw 167 to 171 because I like watching grass grow...still no track info or steering wheel track control.
Note that the steering wheel volume controls work fine, MDI shows track info and steering wheel buttons can control tracks through the MDI connection.
