Supposedly to pay for the BBC - a broadcaster who has such a Left-Wing agenda that I could happily do without them especially as their "news" programmes are actually more like Global Warming propaganda trailers much of the time.Yes, Americans, there is an annual tax on TV sets in the UK.....

Having spent ~2 years in the early 1990's as a guest in the UK, one of the things that I always tell americans is not to complain about taxes....even worse, watching a TV without having paid her majesty's telly tax. Yes, Americans, there is an annual tax on TV sets in the UK.....
I think the fact that "sales taxes" are not included in the price is what has kept them reasonable here in the US (generally under 10%) as opposed to the 20% or more of VAT taxes that are common in countries where such taxes are included in the price of goods. But, one of the
goodconvenient things, is taxes were generally hidden in the total price, so whatever the price was, it was the price paid... not price + add on taxes.
Sort of the way american gas is sold.
More like they are going to pay closer attention when Ferrari parks one of their pit boxes on top of their air lines.I think they will be practicing pit-stops for the next 12 days.
Is that what happened? I saw the press release about the crossed threads but nothing about obstructed air lines.More like they are going to pay closer attention when Ferrari parks one of their pit boxes on top of their air lines.
I'm surprised that Australia didn't confiscate every team's air guns at Customs with how anti-firearms they are now.....
