Please be sure to return the bricked one to the dealer. Once we have confirmation that they have it back, there's a good chance you'll hear from us again. So I’m back happy again and appreciate the speedy response by all involved.

Unless there's been a recent change to Windows 11 firewall in a Windows Update, or your PC has some unusual settings, that really shouldn't be necessary.Turn off Windows 11 Defender Firewall

That's something we've occasionally run into, most often in a corporate environment.AND any other firewall running on your router/wifi connection to the internet.
Hmm, that really shouldn't be necessary. I do updates regularly on several HEX-NETs and have never had to turn Defender off.Simply switched off the windows defender firewall, and it upgraded immediately and fully.
So the last time you updated this previously was in 2016..CB: 0.4123
Yes regarding the last update as I was treating it like my other tools in my tool box. I didn't realize that firmware updates are also required. So the last time you updated this previously was in 2016..
You can try this:

But in the end, you'll probably want to contact Support for an RMA to send it in and let us get it "over the hump" for you.

If you think that causes a problem, why not just press the button on the HEX-NET and put it in AP mode? It cannot possibly have an internet connection of its own when it is in AP mode. What you need to do is ensure the device is not connected to the internet. Only the laptop should have a connection to the internet. You can shutdown the wifi that the device auto connects to and use a different connection for the laptop

Yeah, I thought that was super weird too. This whole setup WAS working just fine for me until I updated VCDS to the latest version. The current firmware on the HEX-V2 ia 0.0. Isn’t that weird? Can that be the problem?
