Hi all,

I'm trying to adjust the interval that the INSP and OIL service lights appear on my car. The car is a 2004 (6L) SEAT Ibiza 1.2 AZQ.

I previously had a 2002 (6L) SEAT Ibiza (also 1.2 AZQ) that, from factory, had a service regime set that INSP services occurred every 10k, with an OIL service in between every 5k miles. For example

5k miles - OIL service (just oil and oil filter change)
10k miles - INSP service (oil and ALL filters, spark plugs)
15k miles - OIL service
20k miles INSP service

And so on.

My current 2004 Ibiza doesn't do this, instead, every 15,000km it throws up the OIL service light, and every 30,000km it throws up the INSP light. I want to change this so it works like the 2002 Ibiza did. But I can't figure out how.

In address 17 Instruments, I've tried changing channel 06 (max distance to INSP) from 30 to 16. This would give me my desired 10k miles between INSP lights.

However, the SRI reset ignores the above change I made, and when I try to reset it, it continues to adjust channel 11 to 30, not the 16 that I expect to see.

There's probably a simple answer to this that I'm just not seeing...

Cheers.

Are you doing this on the SRI screen? If so, try changing the corresponding Adaptation channels directly.

However understand that some clusters arbitrary values in these channels.
