1. This is the most important one for me. Do ANY of the modules available on VCDS can cause a 'TD1' flag? For those who don't know, that's the flag that voids your warranty when Audi detects the ECU was tampered with. And it's a royal (and expensive) battle for ANY warranty claim with this flag. Don't want to inadvertently triggered it by using VCDS, since my car is new.
2. Read the VCDS user's manual and there was constant mentioning of both 'Gateway' and 'HEX' without explanation of any kind, or which cars have it. Do my S6 have either or both of those things? If yes, which one (or both), and what do I need to do differently when using VCDS?
3. I've read several threads on this, and I didn't see mentioned 2 things I want to disable: auto door-lock (should be a freaking user menu option), and MMI auto-retract. The latter will crap out sooner or later after incessant ins and outs. I always use it, so want it permanently out. If I want to retract it, that's what the dash button is for.
4. My MMI is not recognizing AudiConnect anymore, after I disabled the data module, trying to clear issues I was having. A forum member said I could fix that by going to module 5F and switching on SIM card recognition. Would like more detailed steps, but my question is VCDS manual only listed modules 5A and 5B. Why is not listed? Is it part of the 'hidden green menu'? Thx.
5. Talking about the 'hidden green menu', would activating it triggers the 'TD1' flag? What parameters can be changed there? Couldn't find any info on that. Although not related to VCDS, if anybody has a link I'd appreciate it. Only found info on older systems, but not for my car, hence the question.
6. Another big reason to buy this module is I want to lower the air suspension a little. Folks who have done it said it's supposedly not possible, but obviously it is. I want to hear from Ross-Tech's point of view why they don't support this function. What risks they're seeing, etc., to be able to make the decision if I should mess with it or not. Couldn't find out if altering the ride height also alters the shock settings or not. This is important since if it doesn't, car would bottom out easier if lowered, but shocks weren't adjusted accordingly. Maybe that's why.
That's all for now. Thanks in advance for your help.
