I've recently upgraded the RNS-315 in my 2013 Golf TDI to an RNS-150 from a 2013 Passat. All is working as it shoud including the steering wheel controls, 9w7 bluetooth add-on, voice command, etc. I'm pretty proud of myself. 
One item I'm having trouble with, however, is the 510 brightness - specifically, the autodimming is very aggressive. In bright daylight, the display is difficult to see even on the brightest setting. At night, it's fine, and it does respond correctly (going from day->night) when the headlights are switched on.
My question is, is there a coding that controls the autodimming factors or thresholds for the LCD screen? Or is it possible to disable autodim completely?
