Has anyone figured out how to enable V.I.M. in the B9 4G cars yet?

I don't have a solution for you; but I'm genuinely intrigued by why you would want it enabled?

VCDS can not be used - unless someone do a change to the VCDS SW like it was done with the developer menu coding :)

OBD11 can do it. I do not wish to buy or use OBD11.

Agree - but I don’t think Ross Tech want to do this change to VCDS - sadly

I can understand why Ross Tech would not want to implement this as an "easy to do" option. Has anyone been able to find out how to get the security code for module 5F? I purchased the factory service manual thinking it would be in there but its not. :(

20103 and S12345. If you are still looking to activate VIM save yourself some time as its not possible via VCDS or via the MIB/MMI green menu.

The channel is there. I cannot update the value. It gives me an "out of range" error. I assume this is a security code issue.

Unfortunately this will not give you VIM.
Why not with the correct security code? This is the same parameter from years past that turns off the screen at anything above 0 KPH.

It is not coded in a channel in the newest models anymore.

The new MIB units, especially MIB2, are very different to the MMI of old.

Any luck with this one? I see there's a way to do it through a script that a few online companies are offering for a steep fee.
