Hi guys, having some trouble finding this bit of info out. I have done a retrofit headlight swap from the stock halogen headlights to the oem bixenon headlights. My vcds coding and everything are all set but i cant figure out where the shutter wires go to on the bcm/cecm from the harness adapter. Any help is appreciated, if not then ill continue running the highbeams along with the xenons. Thanks guys

Coding xenons for a 2011 Touareg

Hi guys, just need a bit of help here. Installed my oem hid headlights and I just have some questions. I can code my car for the led daytime runlights and a few other options. I'm not too worried about having the bi xenon function as I have no problem using the halogen highbeams. its not a highline cecm but I know you can code the car to accept xenons. Anyone have any tips to help? The Ross tech software works great, my long code for the cecm is 69001016873C5D010004000300005F5F431C660802000241000000000000. Is there anything in here I need to change or do I do this somewhere else?

Threads merged. There's no reason to start a second thread for the same retrofit in the same car.

autoscan would help identify if cecm supports
byte 00 hex 26 (if not accepted cecm doesn't support bi xenon), if you just want them to work even without high beam then 19 or 23
byte 14 1D
byte 15 0D
or
byte 14 1D
byte 15 5D

Thanks for the replys guys really appreciate it. One of the first things I did was change coding to 26 and it was accepted (before the replies). My lights work and I have everything working. Just don't know where to hook my shutter wires up to and I will send pics later. Can't really figure it out in those diagrams. I've got a parking light bulb check light on which is strange because all lights work. The only thing I can think of is there was a light bulb beside the turn signal on the old halogen light pair that isn't there on the new lights. Any ideas?

Thanks for all the help guys. Don't know what I did differently but the parking light bulb out error is gone now on the dash. Everything still works lol and works great. For us dumb dumbs that can't read those diagrams where do I put these stupid shutter wires lol. Ross tech cable is easily the best thing I have bought for his car, great product. Sorry for the multiple threads too guys

Sorry guys but one last question. just want to make sure I pick the right one. two pics of two bcm modules, one with red beige and black on same row is closer to the centre consol and the other is above the brake pedal if the spaces are already filled I should just be able to tap into them correct?

One last question on this outfit fellas. There’s three yellow led lights on the outer sides of these headlights beside the DRL leds. Any idea how to turn them on? Searched through 09 central electric but didn’t find anything that would turn them on. These little LEDs are in an amber reflector looking thing, seen other Touareg with them enabled so I know they can work. Any ideas?

I did try that but it didn’t work. Is there anything else that might turn them on?

If I can’t figure it out it’s no big deal. I can live without it just wondering if they could be turned in. I’ll try again. Thanks m87a

when you code them, does a dtc bulb out pop up on mfd? do you have them wired? did you check wiring diagram between halogen and bi xenon side markets? is there difference? can't really help you out with wiring, i'm from Europe, we don't have them over here..
