Why did CECM become BCM?

Currently talking about EU passats.
On older models, there were 2 separate modules, as in golf, a CECM and CCM. When VW introduced white clocks in golf, there was no CCM left anymore.
But in passat, passat cc and CC the CCM remained, but CECM was replaced with BCM.

Why is this so?

So now you are not interesting why the change Immo protection from 4 to 5 , now you want to know why the not longer use CECM , only BCM ?
