Okay, if you want to test.
You should get access to
erwin, for more instructions for the wastegate.
This is normally used for, new turbo installed, new wastegate actuator, exchanged!
I have not tested it on a car.
I think on a CHPA 103 kW engine, there is no nut on the wastegate .
It should be possible with nut, as spare part when exchanged ?
You must use 17.8.0
Copy
this file to \Ross-Tech\Labels\User
Copy
this file where you easy can find it to load in Advanced measurement values (and basic settings)
Use the load menu in [Adv. Meas. Values].
1)
First try if
[Output test-03] can be done without
[Security Access-16]!
If not, try the shown
And then try
[Output test-03] again.
Please report back!
If it is needed (I think so), it must also be used before [Basic Settings-04]
Use [Load selection from file]
CHPA-Turbo.u01
2)
- (if needed)
- [Basic Settings-04]
- Ignition ON / Engine OFF
- Wastegate , running easy/smooth
- Use , if found out it was needed in Output test
- [Basic Settings-04]
- "Test for replacing turbocharger servo-motor"
- should go to minimum position (with 10% of max. force)
- Turn nut so IDE04303 show 3310...3510
After this min and max positions should be saved in .
If IDE04303 not within spec. voltage, do this:
-
- [Basic Settings-04]
- "First adaptation of charge pressure actuator"
- Check: IDE03934
- Check: IDE04302 (Send value of this here, Bit 5 should be active!)
- IDE04303 show 3310...3510

Right I carried out your test (did not ask for ) & it does not move the actuator & the results are:-
Address 01: Engine (04E 906 016 F)
11:59:33
IDE00322 Status of basic setting is running
IDE03932 Charge pressure actuator: specified position 26.65 %
IDE03934 Charge pressure actuator: adaptation for lower stop 3398.2
IDE03935 Charge pressure actuator: adaptation for upper stop 128.2
IDE04302-ENG104207 Bypass valve for high press turbocharger turbine inlet: status-Bit 0 0
IDE04302-ENG102612 Bypass valve for high press turbocharger turbine inlet: status-Bit 16 0
IDE04302-ENG101717 Bypass valve for high press turbocharger turbine inlet: status-Bit 24 55
IDE04302-ENG101796 Bypass valve for high press turbocharger turbine inlet: status-Bit 8 2
IDE04303 Bypass valve for high press turboch turbine inlet: uncond volt 3368.6
I carried out the IDE03869 Test for charge pressure actuator. This moved the actuator back & forth.
Address 01: Engine (04E 906 016 F)
11:52:15
IDE00322 Status of basic setting was not yet started
IDE03932 Charge pressure actuator: specified position 26.56 %
IDE03934 Charge pressure actuator: adaptation for lower stop 3401.0
IDE03935 Charge pressure actuator: adaptation for upper stop 131.0
IDE04302-ENG104207 Bypass valve for high press turbocharger turbine inlet: status-Bit 0 0
IDE04302-ENG102612 Bypass valve for high press turbocharger turbine inlet: status-Bit 16 0
IDE04302-ENG101717 Bypass valve for high press turbocharger turbine inlet: status-Bit 24 55
IDE04302-ENG101796 Bypass valve for high press turbocharger turbine inlet: status-Bit 8 2
IDE04303 Bypass valve for high press turboch turbine inlet: uncond volt 1248.8
I should have got the cycling results anyway this test moves the , results look within tolerances, so the servo actuator is self adjusting by the looks of if, but in the long term it may suffer the hall sensor problems of the version fitted to the 1.2lt engines which has solved with a shim to a notice.
Anyway spoke to Loctite technical (UK) about high temp grease....yep the 1000C ain't enough & usually has petroleum & silicon stuff in, to really withstand you need graphite & calcium based 1300+C stuff..their LB-8009...so the next time it happens I'll be using this stuff.
