Hi All,

I have a VW Amarok that has an intermitant fault going into limp mode.

Im trying to work out what sensors are on circuit "Sensor reference voltage B " so I can work out which one is bringing the circuit down, I downloaded some diagrams from Erwin and it looks like none of the faulting sensors share a ref voltage??

Maybe a full auto scan would be good, especially because of
4483 - Function Restriction due to Faults in Other Modules

P0651: https://www.obd-codes.com/p0651

Reference voltages are usually made within the ECU itself, but it would be good to verify all grounds and +12V leads to and from the ECU

Hello Dave how are you?

Sounds like a bad or wrong part # MAP sensor ..........check for contaminated sensor or connector.

Check ECU for bad BARO internally or water ingress causing disruption to circuit by corrosion.

I'd be concerned about the voltages in this car too and the fact the G28 is sporadic.

You could always overlay the existing wiring to the G31 to isolate.

Is ECU FOD Modified?

Hey Jack,

Going good, another day above ground is a good one.

What is ECU FOD modified??

The ecu has been flash tuned, if that's what you mean.

I have ordered a map from VW, will be getting fitted tomorrow when it arrives.

Well sure but being it's a deviation at baseline Engine speed: 0.00 /min so it makes me think a sensor but could also be wiring.

Easy enough to send a manipulated signal while not running to vacate the DTC for test confirmation no?

The fault cleared and has not returned after 4 days of testing now, I bet as soon as I give it back it will fault, ive wiggle tested all the harness back to the ecu, monitored the ref voltage on road test on the lab scope to check when driving, so i'll replace the G31 and send it out I think.
