Hello all,
I have retrofitted genuine VW xenons to my VW T5 van from 2012.
Now, everything is working fine...(then why are you posting on this forum?!?)
..exept that I have a error on the dashboard saying that there is a broken bulb.
Now, scanning reveals that this is the daytime running light that is being detected as broken and I strongly suspect this is because I have LEDs now instead of a bulb as DRL.
Now from reading all over the net, I belive this is due to a BCM that is just a little to old for being able to cope with LEDs as DRL.
I have the 7h0937089F BCM with software version 0251 (according to internet you need software version 0254 at least to be able to cope with LED DRLs
And I am trying to install the 7h0937090D with software version 0725, but when I do that, I cannot reach the engine, auto trans and several other things with VCDS.
Also, it seems that VCDS recognizes this as a completely new VIN number as well. (However, I have been able to program my two keys for the car to work with the new BCM.)
How can I program the new BCM to work in the car? Is it possible with VCDS? Can the dealers do it (if it cant be done via VCDS?
All and any replies on this topic are more than welcome.
Thank you!
