Hi,

Using the HEX-NET in Infrastructure Mode the programme seems to stop or hang when it comes to a Control Unit with Label: none or ReDir: Fail
I have tried it many many times and it always only gets to 7% but after switching to AP Mode and doing the same AUTO-SCAN I can get the full list but I can see the problem seems to be when it gets to the " Labels: None " Control Unit , please see and compare the AUTO-SCAN details below..

Code:
VCDS-Mobile
Auto-Scan

Progress: 7% Trying address 03...

OK, this clearly isn't VCDS-Mobile. That's VCDS 14.2.1 running on a PC, talking to the HEX-NET via WiFi, right? ;)

We're looking at some issues like that right now.

Hi Uwe,

The top Scan is the 7% AutoScan that I got using VCDS Mobile in Infrastructure mode with Wifi .

The Second AutoScan is using the HEX-NET in AP Mode Connected to the same Laptop using the usb cable and using VCDS 14.2.1, but the problem is only when using VCDS Mobile.

Ah.. Thanks! Let me see about fixing up the original post to make it more obvious what's going on.

[time passes]

OK, CODE tags applied.

What had me confused was:
after switching to AP Mode and doing the same AUTO-SCAN I can get the full list
It's not "the same" when you do it with VCDS vs. doing it with VCDS-Mobile. ;)

What we need to know here is whether the problem is truly AP vs. Infrastructure, or VCDS vs. VCDS Mobile. Both VCDS and VCDS Mobile can be used with the HEX-NET in AP mode or in Infrastructure mode. My guess is that both will exhibit the same behavior no matter which networking mode you're using them in?

I don't think the issue is AP vs. Infrastructure mode as these modes do exactly as they are intended ( I hope I am correct here ) , in other words they both work perfect.
Because VCDS Mobile is a different platform ( if I can call it that ) from VCDS I just wanted to use the same interface ( HEX-NET ) and compare AutoScan procedure VCDS Mobile vs. VCDS to see what the issue could be, but I guess the issue is a VCDS Mobile issue as VCDS works perfect.

I did not know I could use VCDS in Infrastructure Mode so that is something I can try on Monday,

Have a good weekend,
P.S I might drop into your bar at some point for a chat and a couple of beers !
