I'm missing the setup menu on my Mmi
the way the software was improperly installed so I've already fixed control head issue. thought this would also take care of setup menu. any ideas?

Yep, an Auto-Scan might shed some light on things. It would also tell us whether this car is a 2005, a 2015, or something in between -- cause that's how long A6's have had MMI in 'em. ;)

This wouldn't happen to be a failed MMI upgrade would it ?
I sure hope they were genuine Audi discs....

As stated, an AutoScan will help.

thanks for all your replies
I figured it out in the control head channel 11, advanced settings for MMI
added the Service menu by changing value from 0 to1.
also known as hidden MMI.
by the way audi was to blame for improper software installation.
that was the initial problem
I love this thing Thank You Ross tech Already paid for itself
Posting scans soon just gotta setup cloud I guess

Oh.. the hidden menu.
It's normal for that to disappear after after an update.

Thought you mean the actual setup menu soft button for MMI

Check that it's done all the updates to bluetooth and AMI for example.
Missing the hidden menu is not an indicator of an incorrect install.

Only required for adaptation, but a good idea anyway :)

Was there anything there before (e.g air suspension settings) ?
Hard to say since we don't know what equipment the vehicle has or what year it is.

Both normal to disappear.
Your temperature setting overlay will be gone too, again if it was there before.
Lots of posts on AudiWorld on what/how to enable after an upgrade.

I'm sure you know but stay the heck away from the bootloader menu.... it won't end well....

We had an 08 C6, but I can't remember what all the options were.

You may want to get to know the good folks over here - a wealth of information.

Yep, a treasure trove of info.
There's a VCDS forum there too, but I'm the last man on deck in that forum  so don't expect super fast responses.

LOL, had the same issue here whenever I wanted to scan/code the A6.
Now the 'other' car is a Porsche so I leave that alone :)
