Q7 bought at impound auction, new key from vin from dealer not adapted. Immobilizer delete good idea as car is 10 years old? Ran VCDS auto scan got a fault code of eeprom error at address 05 ACC/start auth. scan below. My question would immo delete overcome this?

My guess: Someone was already screwing around in that Kessy module.

A traditional Immo-Delete in the ECU isn't going to do much in this vehicle, since it won't power up most of its systems without a the Kessy believing a valid key is present.

100% agree
IMMO OFF in ECU only work when you have mechanical ignition
with Kessy system you can do OFF but still need learn Key to Kessy to make "start" button enable.
If START button is "dead" ...no power, no ignition...... nothing

Thank you for response. My q7 does not have the start button, key switch in dash. Is this still a KESSY system

Thanks for response. My Q7 does not have the start button. I have a key switch in dash....is this still a KESSY system.

Anything with a 0x05 is a Kessy.......as immobilizer.

The Kessy can in fact be bypassed or a steering gear lock by proper programming and or bypass wiring but it is easier to just marry a key to a kessy and unlock the steering gear or authorize the engine ecu.

Right now I think you have issues just getting stuff online to talk and this should be addressed first.
