can not ready,some times,random

hi,new member here,genuine ross tech cable hex & can hc811549 rev b marked from genden.co.uk ,serial number on vcds screen [redacted] ,some times,more often than not it fails to communicate,clicking test when its not working ,it says can not ready and yes i am using it on can cars,rs3 2016,polo 2016,polo 2015 audi a1 2011,i have tried downloading vcds on a spare laptop and it worked for about 2 minutes,tested and saved read engine ecu fine then tried autoscan can and it wasnt working again so i clicked test and guess what ,can not ready, any suggestions,please?

This interface is about 4 years old. Also, it seems to be registered to another forum user.

Since it's out of warranty, the first thing I'd do is open it up and check continuity between pins 6 and 14 on the plug and the main circuit board in the interface. Do this while wiggling the nose and such. Maybe re-flow the relevant solder connections.

If that doesn't fix it, we have a flat rate repair/replacement program; directly from us, it's $129 plus shipping.
