auto scan results. The left hand headlamp was changed due to crash damage. its the correct part number. the lamp is working fine and I have no bulbs out on the car.

Yeah it holds the codes ! It's odd that the headlight is working fine!

You have to correct the issues or just let it be and live with errors since it works.

I'd it not a can bus problem? The headlamp was changed but I don't think the coding was saved before it was taken off ? The car was fitted with the wrong lamp for a while! But now fitted with correct part number unit!

I am not extremely confident either of the complete coding stings I located

.. are correct for this exact vehicle but I would try pasting one, or both or them in at some point, followed by [Do It!] just to see if they are accepted.

However, if you would prefer NOT to just paste random coding strings into the New Coding Line followed by [Do It!] ... I would use the Long Coding Helper and look at the specific bits that are different so you can try tweaking the configuration bit by bit.

For instance:

• Byte 1, Bit 3 is NOT enabled on your vehicle and the same applies to Byte 2, Bit 1. I'm pretty sure that car has 2 level sensors wired directly to #55.
• Byte 4 has a drop-down menu and yours shows "00 Control Module Not coded" which doesn't match the good cars.

It may be easier to see with all 3 coding variants compared:

Excellent! 04FA02102A600200 (the 2nd coding string) was found in 2 scans in our email collection. One was a 1.8T gas without 34-level control and the other was a well equipped 3.0TDI with 34-Level Control. For that reason I think it would be OK to leave alone at this point.

Those should be easy to diag since they are not intermittent electrical.  Locate the flap lock motor, see if it receives power and ground when commanded by 46, test the electrical motors(s) and trace back the connections/fuses/grounds in a wiring diagram if needed.
