Door Entry/ Exit Lights

I am going to retrofit some door entry lights in the door cards of my Caddy, as they only come with reflectors, assuming the wiring in already in place.

However, when accessing the coding on the DCM, it seems i should have a bubble pop up with the coding info, but for some reason, it doesn't appear?

I notice that my door modules dont have a J code.

Running latest VCDS software and formware on up to date Windows 10.

I doubt it. VW has mastered the art of not putting in a single centimeter of wiring that's no required for the exact "as sold" configuration of the vehicle.

Hi Jason,

I got the following files:
42-2K5-959-701-A.PLA

52-2K5-959-702-A.PLB

You may still have a 52-2K5-959-702-A.PLA on that PC that we have not received yet but I don't think we need it. For example, 42 didn't support Adaptations so the PLA from 52 would probably be blank.

Coding breakdown:

42 and 52 are coded to the same value:

0135730
+2 Ambient Mirror Illumination installed
+16 Automatic Run active
+32 Mirror Heater installed
+512 Right Hand Steering
+4096 Folding Mirrors installed (MY 2008+)
+131072 Start/Stop Function installed

Since that matches the normal Golf Mk5/6 charts I think +0000064 = Door Exit/Warning Light installed.

I would add 64 to 135730 and see if either door sets DTCs for the missing lights with the coding of 0135794. If you have fault codes .. I would still want to make sure the pins are present inside the window motors/modules (or check the parts catalog) before purchasing the lights, wires, etc.
