Hi,

I have strange problem with 2010 Audi A3 1.6 petrol engine, when you start to drive in 1st gear and you let go off the clutch, there is no reaction to gas pedal, revs does not go any higher or lower. But if you touch the clutch pedal lightly (not enough to even slip a little) car goes with normal power until change to 2nd gear when situation repeats.

Problem does not occur on gears 3rd,4th,5th or when clutch pedal sensor or wheel speed sensor is disconnected.

I have changed the clutch sensor but problem is still present.

Things that was already changed:
-clutch pedal sensor
-crankshaft speed sensor
-intake with throttle body and pressure sensor
-ECU
-ABS pump

Hello OP....:p
Please unplug OXS sensors to isolate possible heater shorts and add a ground strap to the chassis to block + battery to enhance.
Verify ground straps at all locations....

Thanks for reply Jack, I cleaned all ground connections and disconnected OX sensors as you said, unfortunately it did not change the behaviour of the car.

What I noticed today is, engine gets back power when status of clutch sensor switches from position not depressed to partially depressed when car is already moving.

Well the clutch and brake switch work with cruise signals or load offset of TQ request.
They are directly related to EPC.

I would readjust or isolate the switches to verify the condition is gone and then figure on a readjustment or replacement.

These switches in these cars are a POS, since they went to this one time use type..........

I know that switches works with CCS and TQ and that's why I changed clutch sensor in first place, but I don't think it's possible to adjust them as they are hall sensors mounted on pumps, not on the pedal itself.

I was thinking if someone tried to activate CCS, which car is not equipped with, so I deactivated it just to be sure, but it didn't make any change.

But I'll try with the brake switch.

Today I unplugged brake switch, which made it even worse.

After that I generated readiness codes with result of all systems OK. Strange thing is, it didn't solve the problem, but engine feels smoother and more powerful.

I wonder if a new brake light switch makes a difference or if running a resistor to fake it steady during testing observation.
