    Understood. What about oil pressure in order to confirm worn out rings or valve seals issue; there no other way to diagnose but to take apart and look at condition? Is there a way to monitor oil pressure with vcds or something similar?

    Thank you! So besides the oil signs, there no other symptoms as far as how car runs and such, again assuming its not a turbo issue. Would there be white smoke or soemthing or would the dpf be filtering all that, hence no signs?

    Quick question: I disconnected the control line (hose from differential press sensor leading into particulate filter) drove car around the block and got P0029 turbo boost range not reached or something to that effect. Is this to be expected with that hose disconnected? Just want to be sure...

    Figured it out. Why there wasn't a seal there before, I don't know. Test drive for about 6 miles. Got P 2459 again with soot levels only at 17g, so didn't even reach 24g like before but got the fault code. Will be driving longer trip today see what it does.     there is that chrome seal that came with kit. It says ot goes inside dpf, item 7 on diagram. It didn't have one before. Also says note installation position. Anyone know how it's supposed to go? Also, there is that o ring which I found no replacement for.

    Thanks. I see that same part number on other retail websites too. So this is the part number that replaced the oem, i guess; 03L 253 056.? The E V500 letters/numbers are probably insignificant?
