Odd idle behavior 1035rpm. 2.0 TDI CBEA.

Update : Thus far. Strangely, I've not been able to replicate the issue. So. Really at a loss as to what was causing the behavior. Will update further if anything changes.

Tis' the season.... for non-functioning AC - '14 Touareg TDI

Sidenote. I've measured amounts of refrigerant by weight when adding. I used a kitchen scale. Works a treat.

Tis' the season.... for non-functioning AC - '14 Touareg TDI

Just saw this and wondered if you have tried changing the variable valve in the compressor. Looks like you're on that track. Any European variable duty compressor I've worked on, this has solved unexplained behaviors.

Odd idle behavior 1035rpm. 2.0 TDI CBEA.

Thus far through the week. No strange idling behavior has been observed. Checked at Alternator and Battery, also through the fuseblock connections. 13.83v at Alternator and 13.56v at battery and through the fuse box, engine running, operating temp after driving home. Loaded (heated seats...

Odd idle behavior 1035rpm. 2.0 TDI CBEA.

To be clear, I don't literally mean random places. The places mentioned, and if something seems a-miss further from that point.

Odd idle behavior 1035rpm. 2.0 TDI CBEA.

I'll check voltages at the multiple points hopefully tomorrow when/if I get time. Got all that other "adulting" to do around the property in the mean time.

Odd idle behavior 1035rpm. 2.0 TDI CBEA.

When I first started the car and engine was ambient temp, read 13.8 in VCDS. As the engine warmed up, hood open, AC on, the voltage slowly came down. While seeing this, flicked on the lights, turned on the heated seats. Voltage slightly affected, but "generator load" showed a 70% load...

Odd idle behavior 1035rpm. 2.0 TDI CBEA.

Insight into the Drive Battery Voltage error? Seeing the voltage of 13.2 at the end of the scan while the engine is running seems low. This was AC on, but no lights or accessories.

Odd idle behavior 1035rpm. 2.0 TDI CBEA.

I'll add. Company responded. Should be no issues. Idle should be affected by Exterior Temp, Coolant Temp, and Intake Air Temp. Coolant Temp on dash always has shown a steady 190f at operating temp. VCDS monitoring reported coolant at 106c which translates to around 220 freedom units...

Odd idle behavior 1035rpm. 2.0 TDI CBEA.

Car was idling at 1035rpm. AS while idling in driveway. Drive Battery Voltage? Battery was replaced last year with a decent AGM and terminals are clean and tight. Replaced the bulb this morning. Friday,19,April,2024,17:26:49:59334 VCDS -- Windows Based VAG/VAS Emulator Running on Windows...

Odd idle behavior 1035rpm. 2.0 TDI CBEA.

Google drive link too screen clip. Showing injector deviation and various other parameters.. Car only exhibited high idle twice today on the way home. Never did it on the driveway after I got home. Idled for more than 10 minutes. Took the screen anyway.. I did find a loose screw/bolt on...

Odd idle behavior 1035rpm. 2.0 TDI CBEA.

Don't recall exactly from last night.. However 3 were very close to zero and 1 was negative further out. Maybe -1.08 I'll check again this afternoon to be sure.

Odd idle behavior 1035rpm. 2.0 TDI CBEA.

I can say.. The repair was for functionality, not improving performance. For about the first 3 months, I'd keep tabs on system periodically with VCDS. Car has just always ran great, looks great for its age and other than headlamp replacement for foggy housings, and exhaust "repair" its...

Odd idle behavior 1035rpm. 2.0 TDI CBEA.

DPF and the entire factory exhaust has been collecting dust in my shed since about November of 21. No strange electrical demands factory stereo and AC running on the drive home which would be around 5:30 p.m. 85 to 90 f outside so not time for headlights or any of that.

Odd idle behavior 1035rpm. 2.0 TDI CBEA.

Hoping to find some insight on this. A few weeks ago, had an issue with the ABS module (2009 Jetta 6 speed stick). The ABS from this year was prone to failure, and I could not source a new one from the dealer (they were backordered). I purchased a 1K0907379AH unit (rebuilt) which was...

    Cold weather and P1388-007

Cold weather operation is a go. Took it for a drive into the big town for donuts. Temp was 36 freedom units, and it didn't miss a beat. Ran another scan, and instruments now communicate. So.. I'll call it a win. Let it be known that an ABS malfunction can trigger throttle valve codes on...

    Cold weather and P1388-007

Update before cold temps. ABS unit installed, coded, and finally this morning drove it about 8 miles into town to the closest "large" parking area at the high school. Started the learning process with the brake, did the driving maneuver and no more lights! So, tomorrow morning when the temp...
