Just be aware that after a 4 wheel alignment you might see lots of warning lights suddenly appear (mine did twice), 4wd, esp etc. shold clear with a quick drive and or with vcds.

I 'dont' think it has CP on it as its a safety system that needs to continue to work whether or not CP is active. I did swap out an similar rack for an A5 which had the same issue with water. That worked striaght away with no CP or software issues; just the same part number

The MY12 year will have the main beam assist camera in the rear view mirror. face lift models moved it to the windshield camera. Have a look at the rear view mirror for issues and connectivity.

You will most likely need to update your BCM with a newer version and add a few wires for the rear dynamic indicators to work, provide dyou have changed to eu lights. Front amber side signals can be coded out iirc

Get on erwin audi and pay 10 euro for an hour and download the wiring diagrams. These are a must for fault finding rather than probing wires.

Your old coding is in your old scan : 101001010001 With your new rack now fitted you can select coding and enter this number where you see 0000000. click accept. Clear faults and then carry on learnig the end stops.

Have you tried using the coding from the old rack? Does it accept the code or reject it ?

Have a look for the self study programmes from audi. There will be more info in there on how the start authorisation works and sequences etc. Something is defo killing the bcm and would need fixing as well otherwise a new bcm every few weeks is not an ideal scenario.

If you have a good volatge at the battery and all fuses have been checked including the one at the base of the windscreen then i would suggest looking at the loom at the ecu. Start by stripping back the fabric tape and find the crimped power and or earth connections in them. Good chance if they...
